Marcin Łobaczewski earned a Master’s degree in pedagogy at the University of Zielona Góra.
While at university he authored and co-authored many TV reportages made for Telewizja Polska. His adventure with photography began when he was still a student. He collaborated with the local newspaper and was an official photographer for the Lubuski Theatre.
He worked for the major Polish titles such as: Gazeta Wyborcza and Rzeczpospolita. He was in charge of the photo editing department at Gazeta Lubuska in Zielona Góra. He collaborated with Teatr Polski in Poznań; took pictures for “Dziennik, Polska, Europa, Świat” and for Agence France Presse. He was published in weeklies such as: Newsweek Polska, Polityka, Wprost, Przekrój, Film, Sukces, Marie Claire, Pani, Twój Styl, Viva, Gala. He co-authored the exhibition titled: “To see, to hear, to touch, to know”, which was a part of the campaign “The disabled – a normal thing”. He was also the author of his own exhibition “The birthday” which showed photographs from his visit at a hospice for people suffering from AIDS in Odessa, Ukraine. The exhibition was also displayed in Linen Hall Library in Belfast.
